Some problems were experienced with fitting of the first commercial baize sample, which has taken some time to resolve.
The problem was due to the baize not stretching uniformly when fitted, resulting in the Zone lines not being straight, but this problem has now been overcome.
We would like to hear from table manufacturers who are interested in producing tables to order.

The first commercial baize sample has now been printed, and will be fitted to a Table within the next 4-6 weeks.
It is planned that this Table will be trialed at a Snooker Club within North London. Details of where the game can be played will be published here in the coming weeks.
Another 2 Tables will also be built, whilst the trials are taking place.

'Zoneball' and 'Zoneball Billiards Ltd' are now registered as limited companies.
October 2000
The first Tables should be constructed within the next few months. The delay is due to the technicalities of colouring the Baize
Once the baize colouring process is proven to be successful and commercially viable, the Tables will be constructed.
April 2000
The first two official Zoneball Tables (other than the initial prototype) are currently being commercially constructed.
Pictures of the completed tables will be shown on the web site.

Zoneball was recently featured on Welsh TV (20th April) on Uned 5 (Unit 5).
It was featured in 2 separate slots, and ran for around 2.5 minutes.
March 1999
Zoneball has been featured in a magazine article 'Techno Quest' issue 113, which is an Eaglemoss publication.
November 1998
Zoneball was featured at the Liverpool Victoria UK Professional Snooker Championships, which was held in Bournemouth. It was shown during the BBC coverage, between games by John Parrott. (if anyone has a copy of this on video, could they please contact us).
The Game was played by hundreds of people spanning all ages, and both sexes.
The reaction on how the game would be received was monitored by the WPBSA (World Professional Billiard & Snooker Association).
Snooker fans returned again and again to play. Well known Snooker referees also played Zoneball, and acknowledged that it is a great game to play.
September 1998
Zoneball received it`s first showing to the public at the Inventors and Inventions Fair, which was held at the Barbican Centre, London.
During the four days, Zoneball was played constantly by over 250 members of the visiting public, as well as the occasional celebrity.
Zoneball was featured on both National and Cable TV during the four days of the exhibition. The game was featured on BBC1's 'Newsround', and on Cable TV's 'Rapture'.
Many Visitors actually stated that it was the showing of Zoneball on the Television that attracted them to attend the Exhibition !
At the end of the Exhibition, Awards are presented to a small number of outstanding exhibits. Zoneball was one exhibit to receive an award.
